Bunny finished Rudramadevi shooting
Tollywood actor Allu Arjun has finished shooting for his cameo in the movie Rudramadevi. Arjun plays the character of Gona Ganna Reddy, the chieftain of Rudramadevi, the warrior princess of the Kakatiya dynasty.
Reportedly, the actor did not use any body-double for the stunts in the movie. Rudramadevi is the vision of director Gunasekhar who is also the producer of the movie.
For many years, Gunasekhar had been pitching the project to various producers who were hesitant to produce the film owing to its high budget and Gunasekhar's track record at the box-office also hasn't been impressive of late.
Backing himself and his vision to the core, Gunasekhar finally decided to produce the movie himself. Anushka Shetty plays the role of Rudramadevi and the movie boasts an ensemble cast including Rana Daggubati, Allu Arjun, Krishnam Raju, Prakash Raj, Nithya Menen, Catherine Tresa, Hamsa Nandini, Aditi Chengappa, Baba Sehgal, Brahmanandam, Suman, Jayaprakash Reddy, Tanikella Bharani, MS Narayana and LB Sriram.
The film was launched on 14 Feb 2013 in Warangal. Anushka and Gunasekhar attended the opening ceremony and the first shot was on the Shiva Lingam in the 1000 pillared temple in Warangal.
