Legend completes glorious 175 days
In the present trend, a movie completing the Silver Jubilee is a rare sight. Balakrishna's blockbuster film 'Legend' achieved this feat, by finishing 175 days run in two centers of Ceeded (Yemmiganur and Proddatur). The powerful mass entertainer completes its 175th day today.
In fact, only two Telugu films in the last decade ran for 175 long days. Interestingly, both these films had star Balayya in the lead- One being Simha (2010) and now Legend. Legend has proved to become one of the biggest hits of this year. Balakrishna was seen in two powerful roles. Radhika Apte and Sonal Chauhan were heroines opposite him.
Legend is second blockbuster of Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu after Simha. Incidentally, both the films were directed by Boyapati Srinu and both the films ended up as the biggest hits in the actor's career at that time. With Legend, Nandamuri Balakrishna also became the first hero to enter in to 40 Crore share club among the Senior heroes.
Boyapati Srinu's directional skills elevated the commercial appeal of the film. Music for the film is composed by energetic powerhouse DSP. The much anticipated 175 days function is being planned to be organized in Emminganur on the 28th of this month and Balakrishna is expected to attend the event as chief guest.
