Revealed: First look of MS Dhoni's biopic
Bollywood is running with biopics mania.After the success of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Mary Kom, Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's biopic is the next one to reach the moviegoers.
The film will be directed by Neeraj Pandey, the director of 'A Wednesday', and it has been reported that Sushant Singh Rajput will be cast as Dhoni in the film.The biopic was facing some hurdles earlier, but its first look was finally released with Sushant Singh wearing a Dhoni jersey.It was released by none other than Dhoni wife Sakshi.
Sakshi shared the poster on micro-blogging site Twitter, clearing airs related to the movie that appeared recently. "Clearing out all those rumours being carried out past few days.It was all false.. Here you go ....BOOM !!!", she tweeted.
Few weeks ago, there were rumours that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) would oppose the making of this feature film. But BCCI brushed aside any such rumours and they mentioned that they have no issues until and unless it hampers the professional life of the Indian captain.
The biopic will portray Dhoni's journey- from a small town boy to a full-fledged star cricketer. Rumors were that the leading lady opposite Rajput would be Deepika Padukone or Shraddha Kapoor but nothing has been confirmed yet.
A budget of Rs 95 crore is said to be allotted for film production, and it will be shot in Dhoni's native place Jharkhand along with other locations such as Durban, London, and many more.
