Pooja Hegde turns down Mani Ratnam's offer
Mani Ratnam is one of the legendary director that we have. No matter how many flops he has given, the craze for his cinema is still intact. After a long gap and pouring in a lot of money, Mani came up with a film 'Kadali' recently and it became a colossal disaster. But he remained unfazed and sources say he has begun working on the script for a new venture.
Reports say that Mani Ratnam is all set to remake his own film Mouna Ragam this time and she roped Mammotty's son as lead hero in the film. Actresses like Alia Bhatt, Nithya Menon etc were considered to play the leading lady in this film. But they opted out of the project and Mani Ratnam is said to have approached 'Oka Laila Kosam' and 'Mukunda' heroine Pooja Hegde. But giving surprise to Mani Ratnam the actress has denied the project as she couldn't adjust the dates.
Pooja was recently roped for prestigious Bollywood Project Mohenjadaro which will have Hritik Roshan in lead role. The pretty girl said 'I got a Mani Ratnam film offer but my heart broke when I got to know I can't work elsewhere till I finish Mohenjadaro.'
Pooja has been the second runner up in the Miss Universe India 2010 and runner up in Miss India south 2010.In Telugu Pooja is busy with two films Mukunda and Oka Laila Kosam.
