Aagadu disaster; Mahesh refuses to take fee Super star Mahesh Babu's Aagadu film collections have dropped to low numbers after the weekend. The film had record openings on the opening day but it couldn't sustain the momentum due to negative talk. Aagadu is a high budget film and it has been made on a whopping budget. Although Mahesh and Srinu Vaitla was a successful combination but failed to live up expectations to suffer huge losses
If the talks emerging from Film Nagar are to be believed, Mahesh reportedly decided to forego his remuneration for Aagadu after realizing the film's disastrous performance at box office. The actor reportedly declined to take the balance remuneration due to him to ensure the producer is not drowned in debts.
Aagadu is a big-ticket film and it has been made with a a whopping budget of around Rs 60 crore. Mahesh had worked thrice in the past with Aagadu's producers. Even, 1 Nenokkadine, the film he did with them in the past, suffered losses.
Earlier too when Khaleja producer was facing financial troubles during the release of movie, Mahesh Babu came forward and returned part of his salary, so that producer could make use of the same amount for film's release. Good to see a star hero like Mahesh Babu backing his producers!
