Line clear for Romeo Sai Ram Shankar's much delayed film Romeo which was in the making for more than three years is going to see the light of release on October 10. The film which was plagued by financial hiccups has been taken over by director Madhura Sreedhar Reddy.
Touted to be a love story, the film has story by Puri Jagannadh. Shot extensively in Europe, Romeo marks the d'but of Gopi Ganesh, a former associate of Puri as the director.
A new poster of the film was unveiled and speaking on the occasion Puri said, 'The story of Romeo came to my mind when I visited Verona, a city in Europe where the historical love story of Romeo & Juliet took place.
The film is a beautiful love story that revolves around a possessive guy who passionately loves a girl. I'm hoping that Romeo will become successful and revive the fortunes of my brother at the box-office.'
Adonica is playing the leading lady of the film, while Ravi Teja will be seen in a crucial cameo. Sai Ram Shankar has pinned a lot of hopes on this rom-com that promised to show off the acting side of this actor. Let's see whether this film could end the flop streak of the actor or not.
