100 feet statue for Baahubali
A gigantic statue of lord Shiva in 'Magadheera' had become one of the attractions in the movie. This statue was seen in crucial scenes and in the climax of the movie. It is said that another massive figurine is being erected for Rajamouli's new movie, 'Baahubali' in an area, kept as top secret. It is learnt that this is one of the largest statues ever installed just for sake of a feature film.
Apparently the art director Sabu Cyril designed the statue which was erected by stunt master Peter Hein. Rajamouli heaped praise on Art Director for designing it and first master for bringing it to perfect position.
"Sabu Cyril made a 100 foot statue4 #Baahubali. Getting this giant in 2 position was a humongous job which requires a gr8 deal of knowledge in structural engineering. It was achieved by peter hein who didn't attend even primary school. He worked for 40hrs non stop. And the real test starts tomorrow. We need to get into a standing position. By the way the statue has got nothing to do with Gomateshwara..:)," posted director Rajamouli on his Twitter account.
Currently, Shooting of 'Baahubali' is progressing in a specially erected set at Ramoji Film City. Prabhas, Anushka and Key Artistes are taking part the shoot of this schedule. Director S.S. Rajamouli is handling the film and Arka Media Works banner is the production house behind this massive project.The first part of 'Baahubali' is scheduled for a release in Summer 2015.
