Pay Cut for Puri Jagannath
Bandla Ganesh is producing a movie in the direction of Puri Jagannath which has Junior NTR as the main lead. Industry sources now say that citing his recent flops at the box-office, Bandla Ganesh has asked Puri to scale down his remuneration.
It is believed that Ganesh has offered Puri around Rs 2 crore as remuneration and expressed his unwillingness to go ahead with the project if Puri did not accede to the proposed figure.
This is a huge cut in remuneration for Puri who is ranks among the highest paid directors in Tollywood. But ultimately, as the saying goes, 'You are only as good as your last film'. After Businessman in 2012, Puri hasn't had a credible success.
Even Junior NTR is believed to have taken a huge pay cut for the same reasons. After Brindavanam in 2010, Junior hasn't had a single success out of six releases.
