Devi Sri highly paid composer Devi Sri Prasad's market cap is on the rise ever since the release of Gabbar Singh. Those in the know say the music composer is going to rake in an astounding Rs 1.5 crore for a film.
Nevertheless, the price tag may go up to Rs 2 crore if the remuneration of his troupe is included. Apparently, this is resulting into a cascading effect on the cost of the film.
The remuneration factor has forced Bandla Ganesh - the producer of NTR Jr's new film, to replace DSP with young sensation Anup Rubens who is charging a meagre Rs 75 lakhs for a film.
To set the record straight, this is for the second time that Anup has replaced DSP in a film, with the first being Heart Attack. Interestingly, Puri Jaganndh is the director of both these films.
Adding to that, there is an interesting story behind Ganesh's decision to do so. Call it track record or the demand DSP has in the market, the ace music composer has become adamant these days and is not even meeting the deadlines.
'Ganesh is willing to offer Rs 2 crore to DSP for his new project and infact asked the music director to compose the tracks of the film before Dussera.
But, DSP paid no heed to the producer and is not even responding to the calls which resulted in kicking him out of the project,' chirps a little birdie in Filmnagar.
Besides remuneration issue it was also DSP's arrogance which cost him a big project and it's high time he realised his mistakes.
