Pawan appeals youth to help cyclone victims Film star and Jana Sena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan has appealed to the people to extend their help to the cyclone victims of the three north coastal districts, especially Visakhapatnam which bore the brunt of Hudhud.
The actor, who made a halt here on the way to Vizag, appealed to the students and youth to come forward and extend assistance to the cyclone victims as it was their responsibility to help the needy.
Though much human loss could be averted due to timely action by the state and Centre, there was a huge property loss and the middle and lower classes were the worst-hit, he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the cyclone-hit areas instilled confidence among the victims. 'Modi is a man who can fulfil his promises and, for precisely this reason, I have been supporting him from the beginning,' he said.
