Ram stepping into Dhanush's shoes
After tasting failure with Masala, remake of Bollywood hit Bol Bachchan, Ram, who is going through a slump in his career, is gearing up to step into Dhanush's shoes in the Telugu remake of Velai Illa Pattathari.
Co-starring Amala Paul, the Velraj directorial is the story of an unemployed engineering graduate. The Tamil version made it big at the box-office and emerged as the biggest hit of the year.
The film fortified the heroism of Dhanush and his performance in two shades was raved by all sections of the audience. According to a source, producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore has snapped the remake rights of the film and Ram was bought on board for this project.
'Sravanthi Ravi Kishore liked the film very much and bought the rights amidst huge competition. The script work is on and the film will hit the floors soon,' confides a source. Velraj, who directed the original, is expected to wield the megaphone for this Telugu remake tentatively titled Raghu Ram B Tech.
