Bobby to direct Power star
Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh 2 movie hits the headlines again. The movie was supposed to go on the floors long ago, but Pawan Kalyan's involvement in politics has kept the sequel delayed.
Rachcha director Sampath Nandi was supposedly helm the project but the director has reportedly given up on the film. With Sampath's exit from the prestigious project there have been rumors in the media that Pawan himself will be directing the sequel. But seems Pawan don't want to risk again.
According to the sources, director Bobby was approached by the producer to head this project and seems like he was delighted to direct Pawan Kalyan and readily said yes.
Bobby who was a script writer for films like Balupu and Alludu Seenu recently turned as director with Ravi Teja starrer Power. Though the film not performed upto the mark, Bobby's good work did not go unnoticed.
The sequel is likely to go on the floors from November. The rest of the cast of Gabbar Singh 2 will be finalized soon. Recently, reports emerged that Rakul Preet is among the top contenders for the role of the female lead.
Pawan is currently shooting for Telugu comedy Gopala Gopala, a remake of Hindi film OMG: Oh My God! The satirical comedy is expected to be wrapped up soon and it is likely to hit the screens for Sankranti 2015.
