NTR award recipient died
Veteran Telugu actress T Kanakam passed away in the early hours of Tuesday in Vijayawada. She had been ailing for the past few years and breathed her last in Tuesday afternoon. Kanakam played various roles in the movies of NTR, ANR, Shobhan Babu and Krishna.
Born in Karagpur, Kanakam, she had given her voice for Aakashavani Balala programme during her childhood. Later she forayed into films. Some of her films include Gruhapravesam, Gunasundari Kadha, Keelu Gurram, Raksha Rekha, Showkaru, Patala Bhairavi, Dasi, Leta Manasulu, Bhakta Prahlada and others.
Kanakam received Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao Theater Art Award for 2004 from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. We atTelugupeople.com'extend our deepest condolences to Kanakam's family.May her soul rest in peace.
