Visakhapatnam, January 29, 2026: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Forests and Environment Pawan Kalyan visited the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park in Visakhapatnam today. As a tribute to his mother, Anjana Devi, on her birthday, Pawan Kalyan announced the adoption of two giraffes at the zoo for a period of one year, bearing all the expenses incurred during this time.

During his visit, Pawan Kalyan inaugurated the newly constructed bear enclosure at the zoo, showcasing his commitment to wildlife conservation. He also inspected various animal enclosures, including those of hippos, black bears, tigers, and lions, taking keen interest in the animals' welfare and feeding habits. The Deputy Chief Minister personally fed the elephants and giraffes, adhering to zoo regulations.
Pawan Kalyan appealed to corporate organizations to support animal conservation efforts, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility towards protecting wildlife. He also inaugurated the city forest at Kambalakonda Eco Park, highlighting the state's efforts to promote eco-tourism and conservation.
