Dattatreya's autobiography launched Visakhapatnam: 'Prajala Kathe Naa Atmakatha', the biography of former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, was launched here at the Kakatiya Convention Centre in Maddilapalem.

Odisha Governor Kambhampati Hari Babu was the chief guest. Among those present were MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao, MLC Somu Veerraju, former MP GVL Narasimha Rao, former minister Gudivada Amarnath, former MLA Karanam Dharmasri, and BJP North Andhra district presidents.
GVL Narasimha Rao said Dattatreya brought dignity to every post he held and that his life was dedicated to the BJP. 'One should read his biography and draw inspiration. You won't find individuals like Bandaru Dattatreya in other parties,' he said.
Somu Veerraju described Dattatreya's life as an ideal for all, recalling his services during the Diviseema cyclone. He noted that despite living in a small house, Mr. Dattatreya conducted himself as a man of the people, and won as BJP MP from united Andhra Pradesh in 1991.
Ganta Srinivasa Rao said Dattatreya was a leader who had no enemies despite a long political career. He suggested that an 'Alai Balai' type gathering be organized in North Andhra to bring political leaders together.
Releasing the book, Dattatreya said politics was about public service, not profit. 'Whoever is in power, one must serve the people,' he said, adding that while there were still leaders with high ideals, political values were declining.
Hari Babu said Dattatreya's rise from among the people and his efforts to protect democracy were an inspiration. He recalled Mr. Dattatreya's relief work during the Diviseema cyc
