Key industrial projects and MSME park inaugurated in Kuppam constituency Kuppam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu stressed the need for preparing skilled workforce to meet industrial requirements. He said Skill development should receive top priority.
The Chief Minister on Friday inaugurated key industrial projects at Pogurupalle village in Gudupalle mandal of Kuppam constituency including Rs 200-crore ABIS Proteins Private Limited Greenfield poultry and chicken processing unit and the MSME Park developed by APIIC.
Both projects are expected to generate significant employment opportunities for local youth, provide assured marketing facility for poultry farmers to strengthen the regional economy.
The ABIS Proteins facility has been established over 30.75 acres with an investment of Rs 200 crore. During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected the plant and reviewed its operations. Company representatives explained the functioning of various sections of the processing unit.
The Chief Minister also handed over appointment letters to candidates selected through the company's job fair. Commercial production at the unit is scheduled to commence this month.
The project is expected to create employment for about 1,400 people, including 700 direct and 700 indirect jobs. In the initial phase itself, offer letters have been issued to 300'400 candidates. The unit will also benefit local poultry farmers by providing remunerative market access and opportunities for contract farming. Feed supply, transportation and allied sectors are also expected to receive a major boost.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated APIIC-developed MSME Park spread across 44.58 acres at Pogurupalle. He directed officials to begin the allotment process for 167 industrial plots from July itself.

The park has been developed with integrated infrastructure to facilitate the establishment of micro, small and medium enterprises, thereby accelerating industrial growth in Kuppam and creating additional employment opportunities for local youth.
In addition, the Chief Minister inaugurated Rs 28-crore rooftop solar project benefiting 7,489 SC and ST families. He also dedicated five RESCO power substations constructed at a cost of Rs 25 crore in Kanamanapalli, Gangapuram, T. Samudram, Krishnanagar and Balla villages.
He said that he is committed for development of Kuppam through industrial, service and agricultural growth by taking responsibility of bringing industries and people should make use of those opportunities . Referring to the success of horticulture in Lingala mandal of Pulivendula, he said that people there had effectively utilized the opportunities available, resulting in a per capita income of Rs 7.3 lakh.
Youth should not remain job seekers alone'they must become job creators. With enhanced skills and innovative thinking, young people can achieve remarkable progress," the Chief Minister said.
