Family awaits Kismat Das's body Brave man shot for standing witness to robbery
Warangal, Jan 10: Family and friends are eagerly waiting for the body of Kismat Das (47) who was shot dead by miscreants for standing witness to a crime in New Jersey.
Das, who used to work with a gas filling agency died while undergoing treatment at a Hospital on Monday.
The brave Das was responsible in helping police to arrest the gang members who robbed the filling station. The gang avenged its arrest after coming out of jail and shot at him.
His wife has joined him in the States last year. The couple has three sons. Das mother and brother stay in Jammikunta and they are inconsolably weeping after hearing the news.
Das, who hails from Jammikunta in Karimnagar district, shifted to Warangal and after he lost money in business, he left for States leaving behind his family members and mother in the city at Ekasilanagar.
Mother Mallikamba is full of grief and keeps asking if she can see his son again who went to faraway places to earn money and clear loans. Elder son Rajesh, who took the call of the sad news, said that he was asking to search for job for him and instead of the good news and the news of father's death came.
Second son works for a private firm in Hyderabad while the youngest is in the final year of Degree. Telugu people living in US will be helping to send the body back to home and state Minister Sridhar Babu was approached by the family to take steps in this regard.
