KTR meets industry big wigs in US Hyderabad, Oct 13 (INN): Minister for Industries and Information Technology K. Tarakarama Rao, who is on a week-long US trip to attract investments to state, held discussions with leading industry heads on the first day.
KTR met Ambassador of India (Acting) in US Taranjit Singh Sandhu and discussed issues of bilateral interest to USA and India and the role of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) in India. He raised the issue of student deportations in US with the newly appointed Consul General of US in Hyderabad Ms Katherine B Hadda.
The Minister met a high-level team of officials from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). The Minister briefed the efforts of the Telangana government to relocate industries outside the ORR in Hyderabad Pharma City with an objective of making Hyderabad a pollution free city.
Later in the day, the Minister addressed leaders from Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America. The minister highlighted the industrial policy TSiPASS. He also explained the Telangana Government's plans for Hyderabad Pharma City among other initiatives of the state government.
