BJP leaders hold protest near CMO Hyderabad, Oct 13 (INN): Telangana BJP leaders on Thursday held protest at C-Block of Telangana State Secretariat demanding that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao resolve the problems being faced by the farming community.
Led by senior leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy, BJP leaders including MLA Chintala Ramchandra Reddy, MLC N. Ramchander Rao, ex-MLA Baddam Bal Reddy and others, held dharna before the CMO for over an hour. Speaking to media persons, Nagam said that the TRS Government has completely neglected the farmers. He said that State Government has diverted the funds for input subsidy released by the Centre. He also alleged that the government did not extend any assistance to the farmers.
He also accused the government of not conducting the enumeration of losses due to recent heavy rains in a proper manner.
The BJP leaders were taken into custody by the police and were shifted to the nearest police station. They were released later.
