Congress to hold Chalo collectorate Hyderabad, Oct 13 (INN): MLC and senior Congress leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Thursday alleged that the state government has neglected the farmers and plunged the agri-sector in to a crisis.
Speaking to media persons here, Sudhakar Reddy blamed the state government for its alleged apathy towards farmers which led to huge losses to the farmers. He said that the Congress party would organized 'Chalo Collectorate' in Khammam district on October 15 to highlight the plight of the farmers due to government's negligence.
He charged the government of turning a blind eye to the issues confronting the farmers. Even as the farmers are facing losses due to spurious seeds and lack of bank loans, the state government is least bothered, the Congress leader lamented. He demanded the state government to waive off the crop loans in one go.
The Congress MLC charged that the district administration violated protocol during the launch of Kallur revenue division on Tuesday. He said that he would lodge a complaint with the Chief Secretary over the violation of protocol and misuse of power by the ruling party.
