Mission Kakatiya paying dividends: Speaker
Warangal, Oct 15 (INN): Telangana State Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudhana Chary on Saturday said that the state was deriving the fruits of Mission Kakatiya as most of the tanks in the state got good inflow during the recent heavy rains.
The farmers in the state need not worry as all the tanks in the state are full to their brim giving a hope for a good crop during Rabi season, the Speaker said.
Speaking at the swearing in ceremony of the members of the Parkal Market Committee here, the Speaker said that the state government was taking various pro-farmers steps to make agriculture a profitable venture. He said that the state government was distributing fishes to the tune of Rs 46 crore to promote fisheries in the state. He said that state was taking measures to ensure quality seeds, fertilizers to the farmers.
