TRS turned Telangana into a 'Gharib' state: BJP Hyderabad, Oct 15 (INN): BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Saturday slammed the TRS Government accusing it of transforming a financially sound state of Telangana into a poor state.
Speaking to media persons here, the BJP leader said that the state was going into a debt trap due to the financial mismanagement by the government. He accused the government of diverting funds meant to the welfare sector to other sectors and to pay contractors. He reminded that KCR used to make lofty claims that the state's finances were in healthy position in the past but now the state in dashing towards huge debts.
BJP leader said that the farmers who faced losses due to drought during the year 2014-15 were committing suicides as they failed to get any sort of help from the state government. Nagam alleged that the TRS government was neglecting farmers' issues and added that there was growing opposition in the state due to mis-governance by the TRS party. He took a dig at the KCR family saying that the even after the Bathukamma festivities are over, KCR's family members were celebrating the floral fete in foreign countries even now. He alleged that the state government has huge funds to celebrate Bathukamma fete but no funds to compensate farmers.
