GHMC warns of action against pumping of water
Hyderabad, Oct 17 (INN): GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy warned of heavy fines and even cancellation of trade licenses and other permissions if their establishment pump water on the main roads.
Addressing a review meeting with the officials of Engineering Wing, the GHMC Commissioner directed them to take preventive measures to prevent stagnation of water on main roads. He asked the officials to coordinate with the police department to utilize the CCTV cameras to trace those who are pumping out water on roads. He said that the CCTV cameras should also be used to check encroachments on footpaths, pot holes and road dividers.
Dr. Janardhan Reddy directed all the AEs, DEs, EEs must check their jurisdiction and personally inspect and monitor the road repairing works. The SEs and CE must furnish the information with regard to completion of the sanctioned works on priority and fix the target for its completion in a stipulated time, he said.
