Kodandaram to observe Rythu Deeksha Hyderabad, Oct 17 (INN): Telangana JAC chief Prof Kodandaram on Monday said that the state was not witnessing the development the people expected after the formation of state.
Speaking to media person, the TJAC chief said that the TRS government failed to resolve the issues confronting the farmers in the state. He said that the farmers in the state were suffering but the ruling party is least bothered about the agri-crisis in the state. Prof Kodandaram said that he would take up relay hunger strike (Rhythy Deeksha) on October 23 to highlight the problems of the farmers.
The TJAC chief said that leaders BJP and representatives of various farmers' organizations would also take part in the strike.
Earlier in the day, Prof Kodandaram met Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma and discussed with him the issues pertaining to the reorganization of districts and mandals. He appealed the CS to look into the demand for creation of separate mandals of Gattupal and Nagireddipet which witnessed protests for the past one week.
