Farm crisis: Komatireddy to sit on 3-day hunger stir Hyderabad, Oct 18 (INN): Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Tuesday said that he would observe a 72-hour hunger strike at Indira Park from 1st November to highlight the farm crisis in the state.
Speaking to media persons, the Congress leader said that he would also invite TJAC chief Prof Kodandaram for the hunger strike protest and would expose the hollow promises of the state government made to the farmers. He accused the TRS government of being indifferent towards the farmers. At a time when the farmers are facing one issue after the other, the government has left them to fend for themselves, the Congress MLA remarked.
Komatireddy slammed the TRS MP Gutta Sukhendar Reddy for criticizing him and demanding his resignation as MLA. The Congress leader said that Gutha Sukhendar Reddy won the MP election only due to his efforts. It may be recalled that the verbal duel between the two leaders from Nalgonda district has intensified in the recent days with both the leaders indulging in allegations and counter allegations.
