Coal bunker caves in at NTPC, power generation hit
Ramagundam, Oct 30 (INN): A major accident was averted in the NTPC plant in Ramagundam in Peddapally district when a coal bunker caved in on Sunday morning.
No casualty was reported as there were no workers near the coal bunker due to which a major accident was averted. Power generation was halted at the 500 Mega Watt power generation unit-IV of the NTPC after the incident. Power supply was affected to the nearby town and villages, sources said. Top officials of the plant visited the site and took up the repairs to resume power generation operations.
