68 Crore Drinking Water Scheme for Kurnool Kurnool, Nov 5 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday launched 15,ooo water connections in Kunrool under the Amrut drinking water scheme.
The Chief Minister, who visited the Old City of Kurnool as part of the TD Jana Chaitanya Yatra for the first time after assuming the CM office, launched the drinking water scheme estimated to be to the tune of Rs 68 crore. Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said that the state government was taking up numerous welfare schemes to empower the poor and the down trodden. He said that the state government was spending massive funds for rural development.
Earlier party leaders accorded a rousing welcome to the CM who is on his first ever visit to Old Kurnool.
