Gudiwada Chairman, 9 Councillors join TDP
Guntur, Nov 6 (INN): In a major setback to YSR Congress, which was hit by defections of party legislators to TD, Gudiwada Municipal Council chairman Srinivas Rao along with nine party councillors joined the ruling TD on Saturday in the presence of AP Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.
With the 10 councillors joining TDP, which had 15 councillors, the strength of the party rose to 25 in a house of 36.
Srinivas said that he joined the ruling TDP to strengthen the Chandrababu government which was striving for the development of the state.
