Not afraid of threats: Kodandaram Hyderabad, Nov 9 (INN): Telangana JAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram on Wednesday hit back at the TRS saying that he was not afraid of the threats by the ruling party leaders and that he would continue to strive for the welfare of the farmers and the masses.
Speaking to media, Prof Kodandaram said that it was unfortunate that the ruling party leaders were criticizing him for questioning the government over its failure to address the farmers' issues. The JAC chief said that it would be better for the leaders of the ruling party to concentrate on the solving the farmers' issues rather than attacking those supporting the farmers.
The JAC chief said that he had visited many villages hit by crop damage and had urged the government to come to the rescue of the farmers but there was no response for the same. He said that he had also supported Home Guards who were demanding solution to their long pending demands seeking hike in wages and regularizing of their services. He said that the government should immediately solve the issues of farmers and the students community lest it would face the wrath of the people.
It may be recalled the TRS MP Balka Suman had accused the T-JAC chief of colluding with the Congress to criticize the TRS government. Suman had asked the professor to desist from criticizing the government.
