FTAPCCI welcomes ban on notes
Hyderabad, Nov 9 (INN): The Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FTAPCCI) has welcomed the Centre's move to ban Rs. 500/- & Rs. 1000/- notes to curb black money.
'Prime Minister Narendra Modi's move to curtail the black money is probably the boldest move in the history of independent India,' said FTAPCCI President Ravindra Modi in a statement on Wednesday. The surprise element to ban with immediate effect will bring out the desired effect. The PM's promise that honest people shall not be harassed to be ensured effectively as small and medium traders exchange is through cash currency only, he said.
