TDP slams KCR for purchase of power Hyderabad, Nov 11 (INN): Telangana TDP Working President and MLA A. Revanth Reddy has alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was buying power from private firms only to get commissions.
Speaking to media persons in Khammam on the second day of Kisan Yatra on Friday, Revanth Reddy alleged that old technology was being used in execution of Bhadradari Power Plant. He said it was being done to extract commission from private companies. He alleged that Rs. 1,000 crore were swindles in the establishment of Bhadradari plant. He demanded registration of criminal case against the Chief Minister and also Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy.
Revanth Reddy said that nearly 25 officials were facing the threat of imprisonment due to the ignorance of the Chief Minister. He said since the plant was being established without taking required permissions, the Green Tribunal has registered a case against the officials.
The TDP leader said that not a single unit of power was generated since TRS came to power in 2014.
Earlier, Revanth Reddy distribute relief of Rs. 25,000 each among 24 families of Khammam district who lost their kin due to Dengue.
