Congress' Salt March foiled Hyderabad, Nov 12 (INN): Following reports of shortage of salt and sugar in the city and subsequent rushing of people to shops to buy salt, the Congress OBC Cell organized a protest name 'Salt March' to denounce the rise in prices of essential commodities here on Saturday.

The large police posse present outside Congress office foiled the Congress leaders march. The Congress leaders squatted on the Nampally main road leading to heavy traffic snarl. The police arrested the Congress leaders and shifted them to Goshamahal police station where they were let off after in the afternoon.
