SCR GM inaugurates revived Heritage Step Well Hyderabad, Nov 13 (INN): South Central Railway General Manager Ravindra Gupta inaugurated a newly revived 150 years old heritage 'Step Well' at Railway Protection Force Training Centre in Moula Ali on Sunday. South Central Railway Women's Welfare Organization President Shikha Gupta also joined the inauguration.
Renovation of this heritage step well, situated in the premises of the RPF Training Centre in Moula-Ali was undertaken at the bidding of the General Manager, in tune with the emphasis of Railway Board towards conservation of water and revival of abandoned water bodies. This well is expected to give a yield of 1.5 lakh liters of water every day. At present the water yield from this source will be utilized for the needs of Training Centre and further extend the water supply to the needs of Territorial Army Camp and 7th Railway Protection Special Force of SCR in the ensuing months.
Ravindra Gupta also inaugurated the air-conditioning plant of the Auditorium, Gymnasium, Amenities Rooms and Badminton Court at the RPF Training Centre, Moulali.
Senior officials including SCR Additional General Manager A.K. Gupta were present on the occasion.
