KCR meets Union Power Minister Hyderabad, Nov 20 (INN): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday met Union Minister for Power Piyush Goyal in New Delhi and discussed various issues pertaining to power sector in the state. TS Minister for Power Jagdish Reddy and TRS MPs accompanied the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister is said to have raised the issue of environmental clearance to the Bhadradri Thermal Power Plant taken up by the TS government which is facing green hurdles due sub-critical technology adopted by the power plant. The works for the Bhadradri Power Plant set to produce 1070 MW power were hit after the Centre denied environmental clearance to the power plant.
The sources also said that KCR discussed the issues like provision of better power infrastructure to the state and also various incentives to the state under solar power generation.
