Chandrababu reviews demonetization drive Vijayawada, Nov 20 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his displeasure over the prolonged difficulties to people in the wake of demonetization drive taken up by the Central government.
The Chief Minister said that the people are going through severe hardships and directed the officials to take measures to provide relief to the common people.
Speaking at a video conference with district collectors and officials to review the demonetization drive here on Sunday, Chandrababu Naidu said that a majority section of the society is affected by the ban on Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes.
The Chief Minister said that he was informed by the RBI officials that state was provided Rs 2,000 crore new currency notes out of which Rs 400 crore was in the form of Rs 100 notes.
