Emulate KCR on demonetization, says Dattatreya Hyderabad, Nov 20 (INN): Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya said that the Centre's decision to demonetize the currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 was aimed at curbing black money and corruption.
Speaking at a programme here on Sunday, the Union Minister welcomed the Centre's move and said that it was a good decision to curb black money menace. The minister said that it was however, unfortunate that the some parties were raising issues over the Centre's drive and were politicizing the issue. Those who stashed black money are now worried over the Centre's demonetization drive, he said.
Dattatreya said that it was good on the part of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who met the Prime Minister and raised concerns over the issues concerning the state in the backdrop of the Centre's demonetization drive. Chief Ministers of all the states should emulated KCR. They should meet the PM and bring their concerns to the notice of the Centre on the issue, the Union Minister said.
It may be mentioned that KCR had met Modi on Saturday and sought moratorium for States on loan payment in the backdrop of the demonetization move.
