CMs were aware of demonetization, alleges Congress leader Hyderabad, Nov 28 (INN): Former MLA and Congress leader Devireddy Sudheer Reddy alleged that as many as eight Chief Ministers and other BJP leaders were aware of the Centre's demonetization drive.
Speaking to media during party's Aakrosh Divas observed to protest demonetization policy of the Centre here at Dilsuknagar, Sudheer Reddy said that the eight CMs and some BJP leaders made alternative arrangements to convert their black money to white. He said that even the new currency notes also went into the hands of the black money hoarders further aggravating situation at banks and ATMs due to cash crunch. He said that the Centre's move only pushed the poor and the middle class to untold miseries and added that the rural economy has hit badly leading to loss of work for the daily wagers.
He said that the Modi government instead of acting against those stashing black money in foreign banks, the government has banned high value currency notes. He demanded that the government should immediately roll back the demonetization drive.
