CBI books three officials for currency diversion Hyderabad, Nov 28 (INN): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday registered a case against three employees, including a senior official, of Himayath Nagar Post Office for diverting the new currency to private individuals in exchange for black money.
Based on the reports that bankers and post office officials were diverting new currency to private persons for commissions the CBI investigated the matter. CBI sleuths last week had seized documents after raiding various post offices in the city.
The CBI officials found in the probe that the three postal officials had diverted Rs 40 lakh. Sources say that the CBI may soon arrest the three officials in the case.
