Chandranna Sankranti gift to 1.3 Cr homes
Anantapur, Dec 2 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday announced that the State Government would supply 'Chandranna Sankranti' gift pack containing six essential commodities to about 1.3 crore households in the state to mark Sankranti festivities.
The 'Chandranna Sankranti' scheme would cost Rs 385 crore to the state government. The Chief Minister was speaking at a programme at Madakasira in Anantapur district.
Speaking on the occasion, Naidu slammed the Opposition parties saying that they were opposing the demonetization drive only with the fear of losing black money. He said that the state government was taking all steps to ease out inconvenience arising due to demonetization policy of the centre to the common man. He said that the people should opt for mobile banking saying that it provides for a host of online services.
