Tamil Nadu Chief Minister 'Amma' Jayalalithaa has been hospitalized last night after facing severe heart stroke. Jayalalithaa was immediately rushed to Apollo hospital where a close group of expert doctors from India and Singapore are treating her.
As per latest reports Jayalalithaa's health condition is still critical and as per Apollo Hospitals statement she is surviving on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and life support systems.
''Situation extremely grave but can confirm that everything possible is being done to give her best chance of surviving'' Dr Richard Beale told.
Meanwhile security all over Chennai has been tightened. People are impatient and restless waiting outside Apollo Hospitals. Situation at the hospital is very tensed with AIADMK supporters trying to break barricades.
