TD alleges violation of constitution Hyderabad, Dec 5 (INN): Telangana TD working president Revanth Reddy on Monday complained to Governor ESL Narasimhan saying that the TRS government had violated Constitutional provision with regard to providing cabinet rank status. In a letter to the Governor, Revnath Reddy said that the state government had violated the constitutional provision of allocating cabinet rank status to 15 per cent of the state's Assembly's members by granting cabinet rank to over 18 persons.
Revanth Reddy stated that the state government had granted cabinet rank status to over 18 persons thereby violating Article 164-1(A), which stipulates the Cabinet rank status to 15 per cent of the state's Assembly strength. He also stated that the government's decision also violated a High Court ruling in this regard.
Revanth Reddy demanded the Governor to cancel the cabinet rank status of newly appointees.
