Owaisi calls Congress as conspirator
Hyderabad, Dec 5 (INN): MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi has described Congress as the main conspirator and Sangh Parivar including RSS, Bajrang Dal, VHP and Shiv sena as instigators in demolition of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya in 1992.
He was addressing the Protest meeting organised by United Muslim Forum on the eve of Babri masjid demolition anniversary.
'Central and State governments filed written affidavits in supreme court that they would protect Babri masjid but failed in their duty. Till date contempt petition has not even come up for hearing, ''kya ye Nainsaafi nai hai'' (is this not injustice)?' he asked adding that even one culprit has been put behind the bars.
Akbaruddin Owaisi asserted that people who are responsible for Demolition of Babri masjid, are roaming free. 'Instead of being put in jails they are appointed as Governors and Union ministers. If we question them, we are called anti-nationals. Thousands of Muslims were arrested for protesting against Babri masjid Demolition under TADA and other detention Acts by law enforcing agencies. Political parties who called themselves secular were the ones who have done injustice to Muslim youth in their respective States where they were ruling. After long time imprisonment Higher Court's acquitted a number of Muslims who were implicated in false terror cases,' he said.
The protest public meeting was attended by AIMIM MLAs Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Moazam Khan, Jaffer Hussain Mehraj and Kauser Mohiuddin, AIMPLB Assistant General Secretary Raheem Ansari, Tameer-e-Millat Vice-President Ziauddin Naiyer, Jaffer Pasha and other religious scholars.
