24.95 lakh beneficiaries receive Aasara pensions
Hyderabad, Dec 7 (INN): Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) Director Rajeswar Reddy on Wednesday said that as many as 24.95 lakh beneficiaries of Aasara pension scheme were paid their monthly pension as of Tuesday.
Rajeshwar Reddy said that Rs 272. 82 crore were paid to the beneficiaries. He said that all the beneficiaries would be paid their pensions by December 10. He said that the state government was taking steps to make online payments to the beneficiaries from January as part of encourage cashless transactions post demonetization.
