Sekar Reddy is CM's benami: Raghuveera Vijayawada, Dec 14 (INN): APCC president Raghuveera Reddy on Wednesday alleged that Sekar Reddy, who was sacked from the TTD Board following the detection of huge amounts of cash and gold from his premises by the Income Tax Department during raids in Chennai, is a benami of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Addressing a press conference at Andhra Rathna Bhavan in Vijayawada, Raghuveera said that despite having acquaintances in Chennai, Chandrababu chose to appoint Sekar Reddy, CM's benami as the TTD member.
Raghuveera said that the party would organize a protest against the Centre's demonetization policy in front of the temporary Secretariat building at Velugapudi on December 23. He said that the demonetization policy has pushed the poor and the middle class people into severe hardships. He said that the party's protest against the drive has been named as 'Prashniddam Randi' (Let's Question) and added that the people are fed up with the note ban which is anti-people and anti-poor and want to question the government as to what purpose the demonetization move has served. He said that on one hand the common people are postponing marriages of their kin due to demonetization while on the other BJP leaders are throwing lavish parties by spending crores of rupees for conducting marriages of their kin.
The APCC chief questioned AP CM Chandrababu Naidu as to why he had not written to the Centre to abolish Rs 2000 denomination notes.
