Delay in Diwali shopping drives woman to suicide
Hyderabad, Nov 3 (INN): A 28-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging as she was allegedly upset with her parents for not inviting her to their home for Diwali festival.
The deceased, B Vijaya, took the extreme step on Saturday night at her residence in Shanti Nagar of Moosapet. According to Kukatpally police, Vijaya's husband Krishna Naik, an employee in a private firm, did not get his salary on time and therefore, could not do shopping in advance for their children for Diwali festival. However, after getting his salary on Saturday night, he came home and took his children for the shopping. Vijaya, who was reportedly upset due to the delayed shopping, was also angry with her parents for not inviting her for the festival.
When Krishna Naik returned home along with children after Diwali shopping, he found Vijaya dead, according to police.
