ISRO Chief offer prayers at Tirumala shrine Tirumala, Nov 4 2013: Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation, Dr. K.Radhakrishnan had today Offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala before the launch of PSLV-C25 on Nov 5 at Sriharikota.
On his arrival at entrance of theTemple he was given warm reception by JEO K.S.Sreenivasa Raju, Temple officials and priests. After dharshan of the Lord Raju has presented him with Sri Vari Prasadam amid recitation of Vedic hymns at Ranganayakula Mandapam inside the temple premises.
Speaking to media persons later, Dr Radhakrishnan expressed confidence that the launch would be successful. "The PSLV-C25 will lift off at 2.38 pm tomorrow.
It's a long mission and the spacecraft is expected to reach Mars by September 2014. We are planning to orbit the space craft around Mars,' he said.
