Vizag-bound flight develops snag CHENNAI: The passengers of a Chennai-Vizag-Bhubaneshwar Indigo flight were deplaned minutes before the flight was to take off in Chennai on Monday morning at 7.20 a.m. After a runway obstruction for a while, the plane was scheduled to take off and was on the taxi track when the systems apparently went dead.
Sources said that flight 6E 511 developed an 'electrical' snag that could not be rectified. So the plane had to be tugged into one of the parking bays and the 130 passengers on board were asked to deplane immediately.
The passengers were made to wait inside the domestic terminal for an hour - the time Indigo staff said it would take to ready a spare aircraft.
'We were asked to board the plane again at 8.40 a.m. and thankfully we did not have to go through rigorous checking again,' said a passenger, who was flying to Visakhapatnam.
