DL will donate Rs 10 lakh to CM's new party KADAPA: Former minister D L Ravindra Reddy, a known detractor of chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, sarcastically announced here on Monday that he would 'donate' `10 lakh to the proposed new party to be floated by the CM.
'The new party, if floated, will bring into light the greatness of Kiran Kumar Reddy and also people will come to know what he has done for the people,' Ravindra Reddy told reporters at his residence in Kazipet.
Taking a further dig at the CM, Reddy said: '' Kiran Kumar Reddy is a person who does not trust people. I assume he does not have trust even in his relatives.''
Alleging that Kiran Kumar Reddy had not spared even 10 minutes to console the victims of Neelam cyclone earlier, the former minister said that the victims were yet to get compensation.
'This exposes the governance of the CM. He is diverting funds to his native district, Chittoor, at the cost of neighbouring districts,'' Ravindra Reddy alleged.
He dismissed the charge by senior Congress leaders J C Diwakar Reddy and Lagadapati Rajagopal that the Congress High Command had entered into a secret pact with the YSRC. 'I don't think the Congress wants to benefit at the national level at the cost of a state,' he said.
Ravindra Reddy said it was not right to blame Congress chief Sonia Gandhi for the decision to bifurcate the state. 'It is only after all the parties gave their consent that the Congress started the exercise of bifurcating the state,' he added.
Stating that he too was against the division of the state, Ravindra Reddy said he apprehended that the state would be divided before this year-end.
