Sack me, if you can, Kiran poser to HC Hyderabad: With an apparent bid to create a constitutional crisis in the state so that state division process is impeded, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy virtually challenged the Centre and the Congress high command forcing the latter to take action against him.
With his speech at Chodavaram of Visakhapatnam district as part of Rachabanda programme, Kiran Kumar Reddy made a strategic move that would have implications to the Centre and to the party high command in the state division process.
As the Centre is racing against the time to table the Telangana bill in the Parliament in its winter session, the chief minister is trying to put a spoke in the wheel so that the tabling did not take place as per the Centre's schedule.
It seems, by hardening his stand against the division, Kiran Kumar Reddy is trying to engage the Centre in a mind game and also trying to win it. He wants the Congress high command to sack him from the chief minister post so that it could find itself in the corner.
The chief minister's camp is of the opinion that if Kiran is removed, replacement would become difficult and it would have its impact on the division process by leading to a crisis.
In his speech at Chodavaram, he described the Centre's decision to divide the state was an unfortunate one and would not do any benefit to Seemandhra and Telangana regions instead would cause losses.
The chief minister said, 'Some people are of the view that only Seemandhra would suffer. It is not correct. Telangana would also face problems with it.'
However, he made it clear that he would meet the Group of Ministers on November 18 at Delhi and hinted that would convey the opinions of the Seemandhra people.
Kiran Kumar Reddy exhorted the people to raise their hand expressing their opposition against the state in a way that it is visible at Delhi.
What he is up to:
* Kiran will meet GoM on November 18
* He will make last ditch attempt to stall or delay Telangana
* He will even threaten resigning
* He is confident that Cong high command can't find a replacement to him
* If President Rule is imposed in the State it would be difficult for Assembly to discuss Telangana resolution
* If 'T' resolution is not debated in Assembly, the Centre may find it difficult to push through AP bifurcation.
