Three of a family run over by train Hyderabad: A man and his two sons were killed after being run over by a train while they were crossing tracks in Vizianagaram district on Sunday.
The incident occurred at around 10.30 am when Balaji Singh and his family members were returning to Vizianagaram after an excursion, a senior government railway police official said.
Balaji and his sons got down from a flyover after parking their two-wheeler and went to answer nature's call near the railway tracks and while they were returning, a passenger train (Vizianagaram to Palasa) hit them as they were crossing the double tracks, resulting in their death, the official said.
A goods train was passing on another track when the accident occurred.
In another mishap, Bhubaneshwar-Mumbai Konark Express train hit a lorry at a railway level-crossing in Bhongir mandal of Nalgonda district on Sunday, a GRP official said.
